What Affects Your Packers and Movers Cost?
Moving cost is never one fixed number. These are the main factors that decide your final price.
1. Volume of goods
A 1 BHK needs a smaller vehicle and fewer workers than a 3 BHK or villa. The more you move, the higher the cost.
2. Distance
Local shifting is priced very differently from long-distance intercity moves. For long routes, transport takes up the biggest share of the bill.
3. Floor and lift access
Higher floors without a lift mean more labour hours. Long walking distance from the gate to the truck also adds effort.
4. Packing quality
Premium multi-layer packing for glass, electronics and antiques costs more than basic packing, but it prevents damage.
5. Type of vehicle
A shared truck (part load) is cheaper. A dedicated closed container is faster and gives guaranteed delivery dates.
6. Season and date
Month-end, weekends and festive periods are busy. Booking early helps you lock a better rate.
7. Extra services
Storage, insurance, pet relocation, fine art handling and furniture assembly are priced separately.
