3 BHK Apartment Relocation from Salt Lake to New Town
Project Overview
Moving into a newly constructed apartment often involves more than simply transporting furniture. This relocation required careful planning because both pickup and delivery locations presented different logistical challenges.
The family was relocating from a fully furnished 3 BHK apartment in Salt Lake to a high-rise residential complex in New Town. The move included large wooden furniture, modular wardrobes, kitchen appliances, electronics, glass décor, and approximately 85 packed household cartons.
Project Information
Understanding the Move
Before confirming the relocation schedule, our survey coordinator visited the property to understand the inventory, access conditions, furniture dimensions, and society requirements.
During the inspection, the following points required special attention:
- Narrow parking space near the pickup location
- Large modular furniture requiring dismantling
- Glass display cabinets
- Lift booking requirements at the destination
- Fixed service lift timing
- Security gate entry procedures
Planning these details before moving day helped reduce delays during loading and unloading.
Pre-Move Planning
A relocation plan was prepared one day before the scheduled move. The planning included: Inventory verification, Carton estimation, Packing material preparation, Vehicle allocation, Service lift confirmation, Parking coordination, and Team briefing. Preparing these arrangements in advance allowed the moving process to follow a structured timeline.
Packing Process
Different household items required different packing methods. The packing team used: Corrugated cartons, Bubble wrapping for fragile items, Foam sheets for appliances, Stretch wrapping for furniture, Edge protectors, Mattress covers, Furniture blankets, and Numbered carton labels. Each carton was labeled according to its destination room to simplify unpacking after delivery.
Loading, Transportation & Delivery
Heavy furniture was dismantled before loading to improve handling and reduce the risk of scratches. Loading equipment included: Furniture trolleys, Moving straps, Protective blankets, and Loading ramps. Transportation was scheduled outside peak traffic hours to help maintain the planned delivery timeline.
After reaching the destination, the team coordinated with building management before unloading. The relocation included: Room-wise unloading, Furniture reassembly, Appliance placement, Carton positioning, and Final inventory verification. This helped the family begin unpacking without reorganizing every carton.
Project Outcome
- Relocation completed on the scheduled day
- Furniture reassembled at destination
- Fragile household items delivered safely
- Room-wise carton placement completed
- Family successfully moved into the new apartment within the planned schedule

Why This Case Study Matters
Every home is different. Some moves involve narrow streets, while others require advance coordination with apartment societies, service lift schedules, or furniture dismantling. This project demonstrates how proper planning before moving day can help make a residential relocation more organized and efficient.
